NTN Bearings
NTN is one of the major manufacturers of standard deep groove ball bearings (6000/6200/6300/6800/6900 series) and, following the Japanese system, writes seal/shield codes without a separator: ZZ (metal shield), LLU (contact rubber seal), LLB (non-contact seal), LLH (low-torque seal). SKF's 2RS1, FAG's 2RSR and NSK's DDU correspond to LLU at NTN; the equivalent of NSK VV is LLB.

Code structure
There is NO SEPARATOR between the basic designation and the suffixes; only lubricant and quality codes are appended with a slash. Example: 6205 + LLU + C3 + /5K = 6205LLUC3/5K

Markings on the bearing: On open and NR types, the marking is laser-etched on the outer ring side face: "NTN" on the top line, with the full code (e.g. 6205LLUC3) and the country of manufacture (such as JAPAN, CHINA, THAILAND, FRANCE, USA, INDIA) on the bottom line; there is also a small batch/date code. On ZZ shielded types, the marking is usually printed/stamped on the metal shield in the form "NTN 6205ZZ JAPAN". On LLU/LLB/LLH rubber-sealed types, the NTN logo is embossed on the seal, while the code is laser-marked on the outer ring side face. The lettering consists of thin, plain, closely spaced capital letters; the NTN logo is in bold capitals.
