Timken Bearings

Timken produces standard deep groove ball bearings in the 6000, 6200, 6300, 6400, 16000, 60/61/618/619 and 600 miniature series; they conform to the ISO 15 dimensional standard and are dimensionally interchangeable one-to-one with competitors' bearings. The designation logic is close to SKF/ISO, but suffixes are separated by a hyphen (-), and two shields are written as "ZZ", not "2Z"; sealed/shielded types use Polyrex EM grease as standard. On miniature and extra-small (600 series) bearings, radial internal clearance is indicated by the symbols MC1-MC6 (MC3 is normal). Special grease/geometry codes are appended with a slash (e.g. /FVSL613). Timken is also the world leader in tapered roller bearings; its deep groove ball bearing product line is genuine and extensive.

Markings on the bearing: Laser-marked on the outer ring face: "TIMKEN" in capital letters, with the full part number (e.g. 6205-2RS-C3) below or beside it and the country of origin (USA, CHINA, ROMANIA, INDIA); there is also a lot/date code. On sealed types, the brand and code are additionally embossed/printed on the face of the black rubber seal; on shielded types, they are printed on the shield. Boxes and labels use Timken's red-and-white corporate colors.
